Sweet Honey Corn Bread Recipe
Description
The Sweet Honey Corn Bread Recipe combines yellow cornmeal and flour with sugar and honey, enriched with egg, milk, and vegetable oil to create a smooth batter. Baking powder ensures the bread rises with a tender crumb and light texture. Baking in a 9x9-inch pan at 400°F yields a golden brown crust.
Once cooled, the bread can be served sliced, typically accompanied by butter. The honey adds gentle sweetness that enhances the corn flavor without overpowering. It can complement savory dishes or be enjoyed on its own.
For storage, keep the cornbread in an airtight container to maintain freshness for 2-3 days. It’s best consumed warm or at room temperature.
