Sweet Potato Casserole Recipe

This Sweet Potato Casserole combines boiled mashed sweet potatoes with golden raisins, pineapple, and warming spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice. Topped with chopped pecans and mini marshmallows, it is baked until the marshmallows are lightly browned and the casserole is heated through, creating a sweet, textured dish typically served as a side during meals.

Description

Sweet Potato Casserole Recipe begins by boiling peeled sweet potatoes until tender, then mashing them with golden raisins, pineapple, agave syrup or another sweetener, and a blend of spices including cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice. The mix balances sweet, fruity, and spicy notes.

The mash is placed into a greased casserole or ramekins and topped with chopped pecans and mini marshmallows. Baking at 400°F for about 15 minutes melts the marshmallows to a golden, slightly toasted finish while warming the casserole throughout.

This dish offers a combination of creamy and chunky textures from the mashed sweet potatoes, raisins, pineapple, and crunchy pecan topping, complemented by the soft, sweet marshmallow crust. It's commonly enjoyed as a comforting side for holiday or family meals.
