Sweet Potato Fries (Baked or Fried)
Description
This Sweet Potato Fries recipe offers two preparation methods: fried and baked. Both start with washing, peeling, and cutting sweet potatoes into uniform sticks. For frying, the fries are boiled briefly to soften, then dipped in a seasoned cornstarch batter before deep frying to a golden crisp. The baking method involves coating the fries with olive oil, cornstarch, salt, and pepper before roasting on a greased sheet for a healthier crispness. The use of cornstarch in both methods helps achieve a crunchy outside while retaining moistness inside. Parsley garnish adds a fresh contrast to the warm fries. These fries can complement many meals or be enjoyed as a snack.
