Sweet Sunrise Mocktail

This Sweet Sunrise Mocktail is a refreshing beverage combining orange and pineapple juices with a touch of grenadine syrup for layered sweetness and color. The orange bitters add a subtle aromatic bitterness that balances the fruity flavors. Served over ice and garnished with a citrus slice, this drink offers a visually appealing and pleasantly sweet experience ideal as a non-alcoholic option for gatherings or a cooling refreshment.

Description

The Sweet Sunrise Mocktail mixes orange juice and pineapple juice to create a bright, tropical flavor with natural sweetness. Adding orange bitters introduces a gentle complexity that contrasts with the fruity base. Grenadine syrup is poured last, forming a gradient effect as it sinks and then blends upward, giving the mocktail its sunrise appearance. Served chilled over ice and garnished with citrus slices, the drink is both visually inviting and balanced in taste.

The preparation involves layering the ingredients carefully without shaking, to maintain the signature sunrise look. This non-alcoholic drink can be enjoyed anytime and provides a refreshing alternative to alcoholic cocktails. The use of orange bitters and grenadine distinguishes it from just plain juice mixes by adding depth to the flavor profile.

To make an alcoholic version, a shot of blanco tequila can be added just before the juices, which alters the flavor and gives it a spirited twist without overpowering the citrus notes. If a combined orange-pineapple juice is unavailable, mixing equal parts of each juice from separate containers provides the correct balance for the recipe.
