Taco Bell Mexican Pizza
Description
The Taco Bell Mexican Pizza recipe features a base of flour tortillas fried until crispy in vegetable oil and layered with refried beans and taco-seasoned ground beef. It is assembled like a double-layer pizza, with enchilada sauce and shredded Mexican cheese topping the second tortilla. Baking melts the cheese and heats the layers through, resulting in a dish with crunchy edges and a tender, savory middle. Fresh diced tomato, sliced green onions, black olives, and sour cream add brightness and contrast to the rich base.
The method involves frying the tortillas individually to achieve a firm crispness that supports the toppings without becoming soggy. The combination of refried beans and seasoned ground beef provides a hearty filling, while the enchilada sauce introduces a tangy, mildly spicy note. Baking the assembled pizzas ensures a hot, cohesive dish with melted cheese binding the toppings.
Serve warm as a main or a shared appetizer. The blend of textures—from crispy tortilla to creamy beans and melted cheese—makes it appealing to those who enjoy layered Mexican-style dishes. It pairs well with salsa or guacamole on the side if desired.
