Taco Pasta

This one-pan taco pasta features ground beef cooked with salsa and tomato sauce, simmered together with elbow macaroni and corn. The pasta absorbs the flavorful tomato-based sauce as it cooks, creating a simple but satisfying dish. Sharp cheddar cheese sprinkled on top adds a creamy, melted finish. It's a convenient and hearty meal that combines classic taco flavors with pasta for an easy weeknight dinner.

Description

Taco Pasta blends ground beef with salsa and tomato sauce to form a vibrant, tangy base. The elbow macaroni cooks directly in the sauce along with canned corn, absorbing its flavors over 20 minutes of simmering. This method streamlines the cooking process by combining the meat, vegetables, and pasta in one skillet.

Once the pasta is tender, sharp cheddar cheese is stirred in and allowed to melt under a cover, adding creamy richness to the dish. The recipe uses basic pantry ingredients and straightforward cooking steps.

This taco-inspired pasta works well for quick dinners or family meals. Variations with ground turkey or chicken can be used, though cooking time and flavor may vary. Using macaroni ensures even cooking times; if substituting pasta shapes, watch cooking times closely to avoid over- or undercooking.
