Taco Pie

This Taco Pie with crescent rolls recipe is made with a crust of crescent rolls then piled high with seasoned taco meat, sour cream, cheese and Nacho Cheese Chips.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 crescent roll dough in tube
  • 1 taco seasoning package
  • ½ c. water
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 1 c. cheddar cheese
  • 1 c. Nacho Cheese Chips I use Doritos and Taco chips, crushed

Instructions

  1. Brown hamburger. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add taco seasoning and water; simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Place crescent rolls in a greased deep pie pan; flatten to cover bottom.
  4. Layer on the crescent rolls, the hamburger mixture, sour cream, cheese and crushed chips.
  5. Bake for 25 minutes at 350 degrees F.

  • TIPS FOR LEFTOVERS!
  • Store any leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
  • To reheat the pie return it to an oven preheat to 350 degrees. Make sure it’s in an oven proof pan. Heat for 20-30 minutes or until it is hot and bubbly! Microwaving the pie will make the crust soggy.
  • Add chopped onions to the ground beef when you are browning it.
  • Add a layer of refried beans.
  • Sprinkle lettuce and tomatoes on the top after it cooks.
