Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350
  2. In a frying pan, over medium heat, brown the ground beef, onion and garlic together.
  3. While the ground beef is cooking, press the package of crescent rolls into a deep dish 9" pie plate.  Bake in the 350 oven for 5 minutes.  Then remove and set aside.
  4. When ground beef is just past pink, add the taco seasoning, ¼ cup water and stir well.  Then put the lid on the pan and heat for another 2-3 minutes. Drain well before proceeding.
  5. When the ground beef is done, sprinkle the chips in the bottom of the pie plate on top of the 5 minute baked crescent rolls.  Pour the ground beef on top of the chips and then top with the sour cream and then the shredded cheese.
  6. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes until the cheese is melted and starting to brown. Remove from the oven and allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving.

  • Substitutions:
  • PRO TIP:  Make sure when you are cooking the ground beef that you only cook it till it is just past pink.  If you cook it till well done, it will be too dry in the final recipe.
  •
  • Use flavored chips instead of plain
  • Pick up some SHARP cheddar cheese.

  • Moderate the heat of this dish by using either plain or HOT taco seasoning.
