Taco Ring
Description
The Taco Ring recipe features a filling of lean ground beef cooked with onions and taco seasoning, simmered until thickened, then combined with shredded cheddar cheese. This mix is placed over crescent roll dough arranged in a circular sunshine pattern. Each dough triangle is folded over the filling and tucked underneath to encase it during baking. Baking until the crescent dough turns golden gives a flaky, soft crust that complements the hearty meat and cheese center.
The taco ring is sliced into wedges, perfect for serving at gatherings or casual meals. Offering toppings like jalapenos, sour cream, or lettuce on the side lets eaters customize each serving's flavor profile. The mix of seasoned meat, melted cheese, and soft, buttery dough provides a comforting and portable dish.
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 4 days and reheated in the oven or microwave until warmed through, maintaining its texture and flavor. Toppings can be added fresh just before serving for best results.
