Taco Sliders
Description
Taco Sliders are made by browning ground beef with finely diced onions, then stirring in taco seasoning and salsa to create a flavorful filling. The mixture is spread on the bottom halves of split Hawaiian rolls, topped with shredded Mexican-style cheese, and covered with the roll tops. A garlic salt butter mixture brushed on the tops before baking adds a savory richness and helps achieve a golden crust. Baking covered then briefly uncovered heats and melts the cheese and softens the bread without drying it out.
The resulting sliders have a balance of tender, juicy beef with a mildly spicy salsa tang, paired with soft, slightly crisp tops coated in garlic butter. Their small size and handheld nature make them suitable for casual snacking or as part of a meal with optional toppings like guacamole, lettuce, or tomatoes for freshness and texture contrast.
Leftover sliders can be refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days and reheated gently to preserve their moist texture.
