Taco Sliders

Taco Sliders assemble seasoned ground beef cooked with onion and taco spices inside small dinner rolls topped with cheddar cheese and baked until golden and melted. The buttery garlic topping on the buns adds richness, while cilantro garnish and optional guacamole or salsa provide fresh and creamy elements. These sliders offer a handheld way to enjoy taco flavors in a soft, toasty bun.

Description

The recipe begins by sautéing finely diced onion in olive oil until translucent, followed by browning lean ground beef. Taco seasoning and tomato sauce are added to create a savory, mildly spiced meat filling. The bottom halves of dinner rolls are lightly toasted before layering with the cooked beef and slices of cheddar cheese.

After assembling, the tops of the buns are brushed with a mixture of melted butter and garlic powder, then baked to achieve browned, soft tops with melted cheese inside. Adding chopped cilantro after baking brightens the flavor and adds a hint of freshness to the rich sliders.

Serving suggestions include guacamole and salsa as toppings or sides, complementing the savory meat and cheese with creamy and tangy notes. This makes them suitable for casual gatherings or family meals where a handheld, flavorful option is desired.
