Taco Soup Recipe

Taco Soup Recipe layers seasoned ground beef, multiple varieties of beans, corn, and tomatoes simmered with spices in beef broth. The recipe creates a thick, flavorful soup with a blend of textures from beans and corn, enhanced by chili powder, cumin, and garlic. Suggested toppings include sour cream, avocado, and cheddar cheese for added richness and freshness.

Description

This taco soup combines browned ground beef cooked with onion and garlic, then stirred together with canned black beans, chili beans in chili sauce, corn with peppers, and two types of diced tomatoes. Chili powder, cumin, and black pepper season the soup, which is simmered in beef broth to meld the ingredients. The resulting soup is hearty and chunky, with layers of smoky, slightly spicy, and savory flavor from the seasoning and mixed ingredients. It has a thick consistency typical of homestyle soups.

The soup can be served immediately, topped with sour cream, diced avocado, and shredded cheddar cheese to add creaminess and contrast to the seasoned broth. It works well as a filling meal option during cooler weather or when a comforting bowl is desired.
