Tahini Sauce

Tahini Sauce is a creamy, nutty condiment made primarily with tahini paste, lemon juice, water, garlic, and salt. The sauce's flavor can be balanced with a touch of maple syrup or honey for sweetness and extra-virgin olive oil for smoothness. It offers a versatile texture that can be thinned or thickened depending on usage, complementing dishes with its rich sesame taste and bright lemon tang.

Description

Tahini Sauce features tahini paste blended with fresh lemon juice, water, grated garlic, and sea salt to create a smooth, creamy sauce with a distinct sesame flavor. The natural bitterness of tahini can be softened by adding a small amount of maple syrup or honey, while extra-virgin olive oil rounds out the sharpness and adds richness.

The water amount is adjustable to achieve the desired consistency, making it appropriate for drizzling over salads, dipping, or mixing into dressings and spreads. Garlic infused into the sauce lends a gentle pungency that complements the tanginess of the lemon.

This sauce is a flexible addition to many meals, enhancing Mediterranean dishes, roasted vegetables, or grilled meats. Its balance between nutty, tangy, and slightly sweet allows it to bridge flavors without overwhelming other ingredients.
