Tahini-Yogurt Sauce
Description
Tahini-Yogurt Sauce combines the earthiness of tahini with the creaminess of yogurt, brightened by lemon juice and seasoned with salt to create a smooth sauce. Minced green onion tops add freshness and a subtle onion flavor without overpowering. The sauce is whisked until very smooth, which creates a thick but spreadable condiment with a light tang from the yogurt and lemon.
This versatile sauce pairs well with grilled or roasted vegetables, kebabs, sandwiches, or as a dip for pita bread. Its mild flavor and creamy texture add moisture and a fresh element to dishes without heaviness.
The recipe offers flexibility to substitute chopped chives for green onions if preferred. Adjust lemon juice or salt after tasting to achieve desired brightness and seasoning balance.
