Tamale Dip Recipe
Description
The dip starts by blending cream cheese, half of the cheese, creamed corn, tomatoes, sour cream, garlic, and chili powder until almost smooth. Shredded chicken is stirred in gently. This mixture is spooned into a greased baking dish, topped with the remaining cheese and a drizzle of olive oil, then baked at a low temperature until bubbly and set.
Once cooked, the dip is served warm, often with accompaniments such as tortilla chips or vegetables. Garnishes like extra sour cream, olives, and cilantro add freshness and contrast to the creamy, cheesy base. The dip combines mild heat from chili powder with savory chicken, creamy texture, and the sweetness of corn.
