Tandoori Lamb Chops
Description
The Tandoori Lamb Chops recipe combines a robust paste of yogurt and traditional Indian spices including tandoori masala, Kashmiri chili, turmeric, cumin, ginger, and garlic. Marinating the lamb imparts deep layers of flavor and tenderizes the meat. Baking the chops covered initially allows the meat to cook through gently while preserving moisture. The second uncovered baking stage, with flipping and basting, encourages caramelization and intensifies flavor at the surface. The final lamb chops offer a balanced blend of spices with a tender interior and a slightly charred exterior. Serving them with chunky chips creates a satisfying meal pairing.
This recipe is practical for home cooks seeking a well-spiced lamb chop dish that involves straightforward preparation without complex techniques. The marinade's yogurt base helps keep the lamb moist during baking, and the step of basting enhances juiciness and taste.
