- 8 chicken thighs
Homemade Shake and Bake
- 4 cups panko breadcrumbs crushed very finely
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons canola oil cold pressed
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon celery salt
- 1 teaspoon salt (optional)
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon basil dried
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme dried
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano dried
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400 °F. Get out a large rimmed baking sheet and set aside.
- Combine all of the Shake and Bake ingredients completely. Take out 1/2 of the mixture and place in a large sealing plastic bag.
- Make sure that the chicken thighs are wet with water and then place into the bag 2 at a time. Shake until the chicken thighs are coated thoroughly. Place on the ungreased baking sheet. Repeat until all chicken thighs are done
- Bake in the oven for approximately 30 minutes or until the chicken thighs reach 185 °F. Remove and serve hot.
- Store the remaining Shake and bake in a closed container in the fridge for up to 3 weeks.
