Tequila Lime Shrimp

Tequila Lime Shrimp features jumbo shrimp seasoned with cumin, salt, and pepper, quickly seared in olive oil before being cooked with garlic, red pepper flakes, tequila, lime juice, and fresh cilantro. The result is a tangy, slightly spicy shrimp dish with a touch of brightness from the lime and the subtle complexity of tequila.

Description

This recipe emphasizes quick cooking of peeled and deveined jumbo shrimp, seasoned simply with cumin, salt, and pepper. Cooking in olive oil allows the shrimp to develop a slight sear while remaining tender. Adding crushed garlic and red pepper flakes provides aromatic heat, while deglazing with tequila adds a mild boozy depth. Finishing with fresh lime juice and chopped cilantro brightens the dish with fresh citrus and herb notes.

The shrimp cook rapidly in a hot skillet, making this dish ideal for a quick but flavorful seafood option. It pairs well with rice, salads, or as a standalone appetizer.
