Texas Roadhouse Grilled Shrimp
Description
The Texas Roadhouse Grilled Shrimp recipe starts by marinating peeled, deveined large shrimp in a mixture of olive oil, lemon juice, dried oregano, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. This leads to a tangy and herbaceous flavor profile that infuses the shrimp before grilling. The marinade time ranges from 20 minutes to up to 2 hours, ensuring the shrimp remain juicy and flavorful without overpowering their natural sweetness.
After marinating, the shrimp are threaded onto soaked wooden skewers to facilitate even grilling and prevent burning. Cooking over medium-high heat for 2 to 3 minutes per side allows the shrimp to turn opaque and develop light charred marks without becoming rubbery. Serving the shrimp immediately with a sprinkle of fresh chopped parsley and lemon wedges adds brightness and a fresh finish to the dish.
This grilled shrimp is ideal for serving as a simple entrée or appetizer, pairing well with grilled vegetables, rice, or fresh salads. It offers a balanced, citrusy, and mildly smoky seafood preparation that highlights the shrimp's natural flavor enhanced by the herbs and spices.
