Texas Roadhouse Prime Rib Recipe
Description
The Texas Roadhouse Prime Rib Recipe features a substantial 7-pound prime rib roast marinated for two days to infuse the beef with a smoky, savory mixture of salt, black pepper, granulated sugar, liquid smoke, soy sauce, and minced garlic. After marinating, the roast is placed on a rack in a roasting pan and refrigerated overnight with the marinade poured over it. On cooking day, the roast is brought to room temperature, seared in a hot oven at 450°F for 30 minutes to develop a flavorful crust, then cooked at a lower temperature (250°F) for 2 to 2 ½ hours until it reaches the preferred internal temperature.
Use a meat thermometer to check doneness levels ranging from rare to medium well. The method ensures a tender interior and a browned, flavorful exterior. The recipe details the specific target temperatures for preferred doneness, allowing for precise final results.
This prime rib is suitable for a special dinner or holiday feast, carving thick juicy slices to serve alongside traditional sides.
