Thai Seasoning Recipe

This Thai Seasoning Recipe blends a variety of aromatic spices and herbs into a versatile powdered blend. It combines peppercorns, cumin, lemongrass, dried lime leaves, coconut flakes, garlic powder, ginger, dried mint, sea salt, red pepper flakes, and dark brown sugar to deliver complex layers of savory, citrusy, spicy, and sweet notes typical of Thai flavors. Ground finely, this mixture can enhance the taste of meats, vegetables, or soups with authentic Thai character.

Description

The Thai Seasoning is created by combining whole and ground spices such as cumin, sea salt, black and white peppercorns, garlic powder, ground ginger, and red pepper flakes with aromatic fresh elements like grated lemongrass and dried lime leaves. Dried mint and coconut flakes add herbal and subtly sweet coconut undertones, while dark brown sugar introduces a mild sweetness to balance the spice and saltiness. Grinding all ingredients together produces a uniform powder for easy application.

This seasoning blend captures the intricate flavor balance common to Thai cuisine, mixing heat, citrus, earthiness, and sweetness in one versatile mix. It can be used to season proteins or vegetables, or stirred into soups or sauces to impart authentic Thai flavors.

For best use, store the mixture in an airtight container at room temperature and use within a month to maintain potency and freshness.
