Thanksgiving Fruit Salad
Description
This fruit salad features multiple types of fresh and dried fruits, providing a diverse range of flavors and textures — crisp apples and pears, juicy grapes and clementines, and tender figs alongside tart dried cranberries and pomegranate seeds. The citrus honey dressing, made with honey, orange juice, vanilla, and warming chai or pumpkin pie spice, adds a sweet, spiced brightness that ties the fruits together.
The addition of praline-coated pecans introduces a crunchy, sweet, nutty element that enhances texture and taste. The salad is designed for holiday meals but can be served any time as a refreshing side or dessert.
For fresh appearance and flavor, soak apples and pears in citrus juice to prevent browning. Preparing the dressing and nuts separately and adding just before serving helps preserve the salad’s texture. Store leftovers in airtight containers, but the salad is best consumed within a day to maintain freshness.
