Description

This recipe uses lean ground turkey mixed with dried stuffing mix, whisked eggs, milk, Worcestershire sauce, and fresh minced sage, thyme, and rosemary. These ingredients combine to add moisture, binding, and warm herbaceous notes characteristic of Thanksgiving flavors.

The mixture is shaped into a loaf on a lined baking sheet and baked initially, then topped with cranberry sauce halfway through baking to create a contrasting sweet and tart glaze. The meatloaf is baked until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F, ensuring it’s fully cooked and safe to eat.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground turkey 93/7
  • 6 ounce stuffing mix dried, bagged
  • 2 egg cracked and whisked, large
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons sage minced, fresh
  • 2 teaspoon thyme minced fresh
  • 2 teaspoons rosemary minced fresh
  • 14 ounce cranberry sauce whole berry; canned

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F and line a rimmed baking sheet with foil, parchment paper, or a Silpat liner.
  2. If you use foil spray the foil lightly with nonstick spray, set aside.
  3. In a large bowl add ground turkey, dried stuffing mix, eggs, milk, Worcestershire sauce, sage, thyme, and rosemary.
  4. Using your hands, or a spatula, gently mix together until well combined.
  5. Add the mixed meat to your prepared baking sheet and shape into a 12x8 inch loaf.
  6. Add to the preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes.
  7. Remove from the oven and top the meatloaf with 1/2 the can of cranberry sauce.
  8. Place back in the oven and bake for another 15 minutes.
  9. Remove from the oven, test center to make sure the meatloaf has reached 165 degrees F, and serve sliced with extra cranberry sauce on the side.

Notes

  • Use 93/7 ground turkey for optimal texture and moisture.
  • The stuffing mix used is an uncooked Stove Top turkey stuffing mix (6 ounces).
