The Best Banana Pancakes
Description
This recipe starts by combining dry ingredients including flour, baking powder, and salt, then blending in mashed bananas, milk, a beaten egg, and vanilla extract to form a smooth batter. Cooking pancakes on medium low heat in butter produces golden-brown surfaces with a tender inside. The bananas add moisture and subtle sweetness without overwhelming the batter.
The texture is soft with lightly crisp edges from the butter, making the pancakes pleasant to bite and easy to digest. The cooking method encourages patience, flipping only when golden to ensure the interior cooks through.
These banana pancakes serve well with classic pancake toppings like syrup, fruit, or nuts. The recipe’s simplicity and familiar ingredients make it approachable for everyday breakfasts where a comforting, mildly fruity pancake is desired.
