The Best Broiled Lobster Tail

The Best Broiled Lobster Tail is prepared by cutting into the top shell and exposing the lobster meat, which is then seasoned with garlic parsley salt and dotted with butter. Broiling cooks the meat until opaque and white, typically around eight minutes, providing a tender, flavorful seafood dish finished with a squeeze of lemon juice.

Description

This broiled lobster tail recipe begins by using sharp kitchen scissors to cut through the shell along the center, allowing the meat to be gently lifted and rest atop the shell. The exposed lobster meat is seasoned with garlic parsley salt and small pieces of unsalted butter distributed across the surface. The lobster tails are placed under a hot broiler and cooked until the meat turns opaque white, usually about eight minutes.

The broiling method imparts a subtly cooked texture with slight caramelization from the butter, resulting in tender, juicy lobster meat that retains moisture. Lemon juice added after cooking provides fresh acidity to complement the natural sweetness of the lobster.

Served immediately, this simple preparation highlights the lobster's flavor and allows for easy plating. It is a straightforward technique for enjoying lobster tails without an elaborate sauce or additional ingredients.
