The Best Damn Hot Crab Dip Ever

Adding crab and spinach to a traditional artichoke dip gives it whole new depth of flavor!

Ingredients

Servings
  • 1/4 cup green onion tops and white, sliced
  • 2 crab legs meat removed (about 1 cup) or 2 - 4.25 ounces cans
  • 1 Artichoke drained and cut up, canned
  • 2 tsp garlic 2 cloves garlic, fresh
  • 1 cup mayonnaise Hellmann's Canola or Olive Oil, heaping amount
  • 1 cup Parmesan Cheese heaping amount
  • 2 cups spinach fresh
  • 1/4 cup parsley minced, fresh, minced
  • 1/2 tsp oregano dried
  • cayenne pepper pinch
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • crackers or toasted baguette, for serving

Instructions

  1. Cut up green onion and artichokes. Add to a mixing bowl.
  2. Add about 2 teaspoons olive oil to a small frying pan and add spinach, turn constantly until just wilted.
  3. Add crab, mayonnaise, parmesan cheese, spices and spinach to the mixing bowl. Mix well.
  4. Move to oven proof baking dish and bake at 350°F for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown on top and bubbly.
  5. Serve with crackers or crostini

Notes

  • Leftovers can be refrigerated for 3-4 days.
  • Reheat in microwave or, covered, in 350°F oven for about 15 minutes, until hot.
  • Do not freeze.
