The Best Hot Dog Chili Recipe
Description
The Best Hot Dog Chili Recipe combines browned and drained ground beef with a seasoned sauce made from tomato paste, ketchup, salsa, and chili, garlic, and onion powders. Simmered for 20 minutes, the meat sauce develops a rich, tangy flavor. Hot dogs are heated separately by boiling or grilling, and buns are toasted to add crispness. Assembly includes layering mustard and optional diced onions on the buns, then topping with the warm chili and shredded cheddar cheese. The chili provides a moist, spicy contrast to the snap of the hot dogs and the soft bun, creating a classic chili dog experience. This meal is straightforward and ideal for casual dinners or gatherings needing a quick, flavorful option.
