The Best Party Punch

The Best Party Punch blends cranberry-raspberry juice, fruit punch (excluding Hawaiian Punch), and pineapple-orange juice to create a balanced fruity drink. Optional ginger ale adds carbonation and a spicy note. This punch is easy to prepare in a large batch for gatherings and can be adjusted in volume using simple ratios.

Description

This punch recipe combines three juices: cranberry-raspberry, fruit punch (a milder version than Hawaiian Punch), and pineapple-orange juice, providing a mix of tart, sweet, and tropical flavors. The proportions are designed to balance these characteristics, avoiding overpowering sweetness or tartness.

Ginger ale is optional and added just before serving to introduce a fizzy element and light spice, refreshing the punch. The recipe suggests a ratio approach, mixing two parts cranberry-raspberry juice, two parts fruit punch, and one part pineapple-orange juice, scaled to desired amounts.

The use of specific juice brands like Langer’s pineapple-orange-guava blend is noted as a preference for its flavor. Excluding Hawaiian Punch is intentional to prevent its dominant taste from overshadowing the other juices.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 64-ounce ounce jug cranberry-raspberry juice
  • 64-ounce ounce jug Fruit Punch not Hawaiian Punch
  • 32-ounce ounce jug pineapple-orange juice
  • 1 to 1 ½ to 1 ½ liters ginger ale optional

Instructions

  1. Combine everything together in a pitcher and serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve. If making ahead, add ginger ale right before serving.
  2. The punch recipe can be increased or decreased as needed using this simple formula: TWO parts cran-raspberry juice to TWO parts fruit punch to ONE part pineapple-orange juice. For every gallon of juice mixed, add 1 to 1 1/2 liters ginger ale, if desired.

Notes

  • Use a pineapple-orange juice blend like Langer’s pineapple-orange-guava for best flavor, or substitute plain pineapple-orange juice.
  • Ginger ale is optional; add it just before serving for added fizz and spice.
  • Avoid Hawaiian Punch as it overwhelms the balance of the other juices in this punch.
