The Best Strawberry Spinach Salad

The Best Strawberry Spinach Salad combines fresh baby spinach with sliced strawberries, caramelized almonds, dried craisins, and crumbled goat cheese. A homemade red wine vinegar and olive oil dressing with brown sugar and basil brings a bright, slightly sweet and tangy contrast. Optionally adding bow tie pasta adds heartiness. The salad is tossed just before serving and chilled for a refreshing, balanced dish.

Description

This salad features baby spinach and sliced strawberries as the main fresh ingredients, accented by crunchy caramelized almonds and chewy dried craisins. The goat cheese adds a creamy, tangy element on top, enhancing the variety of textures and flavors. Optional cooked bow tie pasta can be included for a more substantial salad.

The dressing mixes red wine vinegar, olive oil, brown sugar, dried basil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. It is prepared ahead and chilled to develop flavor. Tossing the salad ingredients with the dressing just before serving preserves freshness and texture.

This salad suits a light meal or side dish with its combination of sweet fruit, crisp greens, toasted nuts, and creamy cheese. Serving it chilled ensures a refreshing taste, making it pleasant in warmer weather or as a complement to richer main dishes.
