The Perfect Homemade Pizza Recipe
Description
This pizza recipe begins with dough divided and rolled into desired shapes on a cornmeal-dusted, oiled baking sheet to prevent sticking. Choice of ranch or marinara sauce provides a base layer for shredded mozzarella. Evenly distributed pepperoni adds savory richness, and an extra sprinkle of cheese over the top enhances flavor. The crust edges are coated with sesame seeds that toast during cooking, contributing texture.
Baked at 425°F for approximately 12 minutes, the pizza develops a golden crust with bubbly, melted cheese and flavorful toppings. Serve promptly for best texture and taste.
Ingredients
- 1/2 pizza dough
- 1/2 cup ranch sauce or marinara sauce
- 4 cups mozzarella cheese or pizza cheese blend
- 8 oz pepperoni
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp corn meal
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
Instructions
- Grease the baking sheet with olive oil. Sprinkle it with cornmeal and set the pan aside. Preheat the oven to 425°F.
- Cut the dough in half and roll each one into your preferred pizza shape.
- Spread the ranch dressing or marinara sauce (whichever you prefer) over the dough. Sprinkle on the shredded cheese.
- Distribute the pepperoni evenly over the top of the pizza and toss a little more cheese on top. Sprinkle the crust with sesame seeds.
- Bake the pizza in the oven for about 12 minutes or until it's golden brown. Serve immediately and enjoy!
