The Tuna Melt Of My Dreams

The Tuna Melt Of My Dreams combines chunky tuna seasoned with mayonnaise, relishes, Dijon mustard, and dill, served between thick slices of buttered sourdough bread with sharp cheddar, pickled onions, and arugula. Grilled on a skillet until the bread is golden and the cheese is melted, this sandwich balances creamy, tangy, and crisp elements for a satisfying meal.

Description

This tuna melt features a moist tuna salad mixing mayonnaise with sweet and dill relishes, Dijon mustard, and dried dill, seasoned simply with salt and pepper. The flavorful tuna filling is layered onto thick sourdough slices with sharp cheddar cheese and tangy pickled onions that cut through the richness. Fresh greens like arugula provide a peppery crunch.

The sandwich is then grilled with buttered outsides in a skillet over medium heat to develop a crisp, browned crust while melting the cheese inside. This process results in a toasty, well-structured sandwich with contrasting textures.

The final product delivers a classic comfort meal with a mix of creamy tuna salad, melty cheddar, piquant onion, and peppery greens. It can be served plain or with chips or a side salad for a fuller meal.
