Turkey Chili

Turkey Chili is a hearty stew made by simmering ground turkey with garlic, tomato sauce, kidney beans, black beans, diced tomatoes, green peppers, onions, and spices including cumin and allspice. The recipe allows both stovetop and slow cooker methods, creating a flavorful, spicy, and filling dish often served with optional garnishes like cheddar cheese or sour cream.

Description

This chili uses lean ground turkey browned with garlic powder and salt as the base, to which tomato sauce, canned beans, diced tomatoes, chopped green peppers, onions, garlic, cumin, allspice, and sriracha are added. Simmering the mixture allows the flavors to meld and develop a rich depth. The sriracha adds a controlled heat and tangy touch that balances the earthy beans and fresh vegetables. Both stovetop and slow cooker options provide flexibility in preparation time and convenience.

Turkey Chili pairs well with garnishes such as shredded cheddar, sour cream, or chopped green onions to add creaminess and freshness. It is suitable for a filling dinner or casual gatherings, offering a comforting and well-rounded meal with protein, vegetables, and spices. Substitutions like ground beef or different bean varieties can tailor the dish to personal preference.

The recipe encourages adjusting hot sauce quantity to taste and suggests optional additions like sweet corn for variation.
