Turkey Chili Recipe
Description
The Turkey Chili Recipe features ground turkey cooked until browned and combined with a variety of dry spices including cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, and paprika. Tomato sauce, red kidney beans, diced tomatoes, and chicken broth are added to create a savory base that simmers uncovered to thicken and blend the flavors. The resulting chili balances lean meat and beans with a thick tomato broth seasoned with bold spices. Adding toppings such as sour cream and shredded cheese provides a cool contrast to the warm, spiced chili. This recipe is well-suited for those seeking a rich, satisfying chili with leaner meat options.
The dish achieves a balance of meaty texture from the turkey and creaminess from the beans, with vibrant notes from the chili powder and cumin. Cooking uncovered allows the chili to reduce and develop a thicker consistency without overwhelming heat. The addition of versatile toppings lets each diner customize their bowl to taste, whether adding tang from sour cream or freshness from avocado.
This turkey chili works well served alongside cornbread or over rice for a filling meal. It can be prepared in advance and reheated, making it practical for meal prep or casual dinners.
