Turkey Cranberry Sliders
Description
Turkey Cranberry Sliders combine savory slices of turkey with creamy Havarti cheese and vibrant whole berry cranberry sauce on Hawaiian rolls. The preparation involves slicing the rolls, layering the turkey and cheese, spreading cranberry sauce, and topping with the roll tops. A glaze made from melted butter, Dijon mustard, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and everything bagel seasoning is drizzled over the tops to add richness and a hint of spice.
After assembling, the sliders are baked covered to warm through and melt the cheese, then baked uncovered briefly to slightly brown the tops. This baking method softens the rolls while developing a flavorful crust on top. The cranberry sauce adds a fruity tartness that contrasts with the mild turkey and smooth cheese, enhanced by the savory topping mixture.
These sliders serve well as party appetizers or informal meals. They can be made using leftover turkey or deli turkey, and adjustments like changing cheese type or omitting it are possible depending on preference. Baking ensures a warm, gooey texture with a crisp topping that makes them satisfying finger foods for gatherings or casual dining.
Use leftover sliced turkey or deli turkey as preferred.Substitute another sliced cheese or omit cheese if desired.Use whole berry cranberry sauce to avoid melting; avoid jellied cranberry sauce.Nutritional values are estimates.
