Turkey Meatloaf

Turkey Meatloaf combines ground turkey with herbs like basil, oregano, and parsley, along with garlic and Romano cheese, to create a flavorful, moist loaf. The mix is baked until fully cooked, with a resting period to let flavors meld and juices redistribute. The result is a tender, herb-scented meatloaf suitable for a comforting main dish.

Description

Turkey Meatloaf blends lean ground turkey with aromatic herbs including basil, oregano, and parsley, enhanced by garlic and Romano cheese. The use of bread crumbs and egg holds the loaf together. Baking at 400 degrees until the internal temperature reaches 160°F ensures it is cooked through but remains moist. The reserved herbs sprinkled on top add a visual touch and extra aroma. Resting the loaf after baking helps the meatloaf retain its shape and juiciness when sliced.

The texture is tender without being dense, and the subtle herb and cheese flavors ensure a mild but enjoyable taste profile. This meatloaf pairs well with classic sides like mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables.

Using a loaf pan sprayed with oil spray helps prevent sticking and assists in even cooking. Carrying out all mixing until just combined avoids overworking the meat, preserving a tender texture.
