Turkey Meatloaf
Description
The preparation starts with sautéing diced onion and garlic until soft and fragrant, then combining them in a bowl with ground turkey, fresh minced thyme, salt, pepper, chicken broth, Worcestershire sauce, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs to bind. The mixture is thoroughly mixed and shaped into a loaf on a baking sheet coated with cooking spray.
A layer of ketchup is spread on top of the meatloaf before baking at 325°F for about one hour or until the internal temperature hits 160°F. Resting the meatloaf for five minutes allows juices to redistribute, resulting in a moist texture. Chopped fresh parsley is sprinkled on top for color and an herbaceous note.
This meatloaf provides a leaner alternative to traditional beef versions and can be sliced for serving as a main dish. The ketchup glaze adds a tangy-sweet touch that complements the savory turkey base.
