Ingredients

Servings

For the Pancakes:

  • 1 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp vanilla
  • 1 tbsp butter melted

To Make Reindeers:

  • 15 lices Bacon
  • 6 Orange M&Ms
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

For the Pancakes:

  1. Whisk together the flour, brown sugar, baking powder and salt.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the egg, milk and vanilla.
  3. Whisk the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, then stir in the melted butter.
  4. Heat a nonstick griddle or skillet over medium heat.
  5. Pour 1/3 cup batter onto the griddle for each pancake to make the faces of the turkey.
  6. Cook until bubbles form in the middle, about 3 minutes. Flip and cook until golden brown, about 2 minutes. Remove from the griddle.
  7. Continue this process to make approximately 6 large pancakes and 6 smaller pancakes.

To Serve:

  1. Line a plate with a paper towel.  Place the bacon on top.
  2. Microwave for 6-8 minutes (flipping halfway through the cook time) until the bacon is cooked through and crisp. Cut each piece of bacon in half lengthwise.
  3. Place a pancake on each serving plate and top each one with a smaller pancake.  Place the bacon strips along the top of the pancakes for the turkey feathers.
  4. Make the faces of the turkeys with chocolate chips and M&Ms. Use the extra chocolate chips to make the feet on the turkey.
  5. Then the pancakes are ready to serve and enjoy with syrup!

Notes

  • Refrigerate the leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5-7 days.
