Turkey Spinach Feta Burgers

These Greek inspired burgers use ground turkey, chopped spinach, feta cheese, and Greek seasonings to form juicy, healthy patties that are cooked on the stove or grill to create a family friendly delicious meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground turkey (I use 93/7 lean ground turkey)
  • 1 tablespoon Greek seasoning Cavenders or homemade
  • 1 egg
  • 10 ounces frozen spinach thawed
  • 5 ounces feta cheese crumbled
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Squeeze the spinach to release as much moisture as possible.
  2. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients, except olive oil. Use your hands to work the meat mixture until everything is evenly distributed throughout.
  3. Form the mixture into 1/3 pound patties, about 1 inch thick.
  4. Heat a large skillet over medium heat with half of the olive oil. Once hot, place patties in the skillet and cook without turning for 4-5 minutes. Flip and cook for 4-5 on the other side or until the burger is cooked through 165˚F internal temperature.Remove the patties and cook any remaining turkey burger patties in the same way adding remaining olive oil as needed.Alternately the burgers can be cooked on a grill for 4-5 minutes per side.
  5. Once done serve on buns, in a pita, wrapped in lettuce, or in a bowl. Enjoy!
