Turkey Taco Lettuce Wraps
Description
This recipe browns ground turkey seasoned with garlic powder, cumin, chili powder, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper. Minced onion and bell pepper are added along with tomato sauce and water, with the mixture simmered for around 20 minutes to develop flavor and moisture. The cooked turkey filling is spooned into large, washed, crisp iceberg lettuce leaves.
The result is a light yet satisfying taco filling with a mild, smoky spice profile wrapped in crisp lettuce, providing contrast in texture and a low-carb alternative to tortillas. Shredded cheddar cheese can be added on top for extra flavor and creaminess. These wraps are a practical option for a quick meal or snack.
