Turmeric Tea

Turmeric Tea infuses coconut or almond milk with warming spices like cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, and a hint of cayenne for subtle heat. The aromatic blend simmers gently to release flavors, creating a soothing, spiced beverage. Sweetened with honey to taste, it offers a comforting, mildly spicy drink served warm—ideal for relaxation or a cozy moment.

Description

The Turmeric Tea recipe uses coconut or almond milk as a creamy base combined with ground turmeric and ginger to create a golden, fragrant drink. Whole spices including cinnamon sticks, cracked cardamom pods, peppercorns, and star anise are simmered with the milk to impart deep, warm aroma and flavor. A pinch of cayenne adds a subtle heat, balancing the earthiness of the turmeric and spices.

The method involves gently cracking cardamom pods to release their seeds and breaking the cinnamon stick before simmering all ingredients together. After steeping off the heat, the tea is reheated briefly and strained for a smooth, spice-infused beverage. Honey is added according to taste to provide subtle sweetness without overpowering the spices.

This tea is best served warm, optionally topped with a sprinkle of ground cinnamon for added aroma. It can be enjoyed as a calming drink in cooler weather or as part of a soothing routine.
