These twisted bread sticks flavored with basil pesto and Parmesan cheese are incredibly moreish and addictive.

Ingredients
- 1 kg (2lb) bread dough
- 4 tbsp basil pesto
- ½ cup Parmesan Cheese grated
- 1 tsp sea salt flaky
- 3 tbsp butter melted
Instructions
- If making your own, make the dough by combining by blooming your yeast in some warm water with sugar.
- Once foamy, combine the yeast mixture with flour and salt and knead until a soft, smooth dough forms. Cover the dough and allow to rise for an hour or two until doubled in size.
- Once the dough has risen, roll out onto a lightly floured surface until approximately 1cm thick.
- Spread the basil pesto over the dough then add the grated cheese and season with a pinch of flaky sea salt.
- Slice the dough into 2cm/1inch wide strips with a pizza cutter or sharp knife.
- Twist each piece of dough then place on a parchment paper lined baking sheet. Allow the bread sticks to proof for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F.
- Place the bread sticks in the oven and allow to bake for 10-15 minutes until golden brown and risen.
- Remove from the oven and immediately brush with melted butter. Allow to cool for 10 minutes then serve.
