Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter melted and cooled
- 2 tablespoons canola oil
- 1 ¼ cups sugar
- 1 cup light brown sugar packed
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- ¾ teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Chocolate Ganache ingredients
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 ½ cups Valentine’s Day sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 and spray a 9x13 baking pan with baking spray.
- Using a medium bowl, place the butter into the microwave and melt according to the directions on your microwave.
- Using a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, oil, and sugars.
- Whisk in the eggs and 2 tsp of vanilla extract.
- Using a large bowl whisk together the flour, cocoa, salt, and baking powder.
- Gradually whisk in the dry ingredients into the wet.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour batter into the baking pan and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool completely.
Ganache
- Using a small pot, bring the heavy cream to a boil.
- Pour over the chocolate chips in a medium bowl and let sit for 1 minute.
- Whisk until smooth.
- Spread evenly onto the brownies.
- Sprinkle Valentine's Day Sprinkles on top of the ganache.
- Allow the ganache to set before cutting into bars and enjoying with a large glass of milk!
