Valentine's Day Chocolate Oreos

Valentine's Day Chocolate Oreos feature classic sandwich cookies dipped in white chocolate infused with cinnamon extract, decorated with heart-shaped sprinkles. The creamy white chocolate coating and warm cinnamon flavor offer a festive twist, while the crunchy sprinkles add texture and thematic appeal. These treats are great for gifting or themed gatherings.

Description

This recipe starts by melting semisweet white chocolate disks gently in the microwave, then blending in cinnamon extract to introduce a subtle spice note that complements the creamy sweetness of the chocolate. The Oreos are individually dipped into the melted chocolate, with excess chocolate removed with a fork to achieve an even coating.

After allowing the chocolate to harden on parchment paper, the remaining chocolate is put into a piping bag to drizzle additional decorative patterns over the cookies, then topped with heart-shaped sprinkles to celebrate Valentine's Day visually and texturally. The final product combines the familiar crunch and cream filling of Oreos with a smooth, slightly spiced chocolate exterior and colorful decoration.

These cookies should be allowed to fully harden at room temperature to maintain a firm chocolate coating before handling or packaging. They make seasonal treats suited for sharing or gifting during Valentine's celebrations.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 24 Oreo cookies
  • 16 ounces semisweet white chocolate disks
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon extract
  • Sprinkles for decoration, heart-shaped

Instructions

  1. Melt the white chocolate in the microwave, stirring between 30 second increments. Stir in cinnamon extract.
  2. Use a fork to dip the Oreos in the chocolate, scraping the excess chocolate off of the fork. Place the Oreos on parchment paper to harden.
  3. Use the rest of the chocolate in a piping bag, squeezing over the Oreos, then topping with heart sprinkles. Let the Oreos rest until fully hardened.

Notes

  • The melting chocolate requires stirring between short microwave intervals to avoid overheating and burning.
  • Use parchment paper to prevent the coated Oreos from sticking while coating hardens.
  • Ensure the chocolate is fully set before stacking or packaging to maintain decoration.
