Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew
Description
The drink starts with cold brew concentrate made by steeping coarsely ground coffee in cold water for 12 hours, then filtering it to remove grounds. Separately, vanilla syrup is prepared by boiling water and sugar until the sugar dissolves, then stirring in vanilla extract and cooling. The sweet cream topping is made by combining whole milk and heavy cream.
To serve, ice is added to a glass along with cold brew concentrate, water, and vanilla sweet cream according to taste preferences. The vanilla syrup sweetens the drink lightly while the cream adds smoothness, resulting in a rich yet refreshing cold coffee drink. The syrup also allows easy adjustment of sweetness level.
For a foamy finish, a portion of the sweet cream can be blended or frothed separately to create a cold foam topping. The prepared cold brew and sweet cream can be stored refrigerated for several days to maintain flavor and freshness.
