Veggie Wrap Recipe

This Veggie Wrap recipe layers fresh vegetables like lettuce, tomato, cucumber, and carrot with cream cheese and Havarti cheese inside large flour tortillas. The wraps are tightly rolled and chilled, making a colorful, fresh, and convenient meal option with a creamy and crunchy texture combination.

Description

The Veggie Wrap features a spread of savory cream cheese on large tortillas, topped with crisp lettuce leaves, thin slices of Roma tomato and cucumber, julienned carrots, and slices of Havarti cheese. Rolling the wrap firmly and chilling it before serving helps the flavors meld and keeps the wrap intact. The combination delivers fresh vegetable crunch balanced by creamy cheese and soft bread.

These wraps make practical, portable meals or light lunches and can be cut in half for easier handling. Variations with different cream cheese flavors or spreads such as hummus or guacamole can adjust the taste to preference.

The recipe yields four burrito-sized wraps and leftovers can be stored covered in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 days.

Notes

  • Any savory flavored cream cheese or plain cream cheese mixed with herbs can be used as the spread.
  • Alternate spreads like mayonnaise, mustard, hummus, or guacamole can substitute cream cheese.
  • Havarti cheese is recommended but any thinly sliced or shredded cheese works.
  • Store leftover wraps covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
