Ingredients

Servings
  • one ounces Brie cheese chilled, round of
  • 1/2 cup walnuts chopped
  • 1/3 cup raspberry jam or sour cherry jam
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar divided
  • seedy crackers
  • plain crackers
  • raspberries optional, fresh, for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line a cookie sheet/baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. IF you don't like the rind, you can take the round of chilled Brie and slice the top rind off carefully, leaving as much cheese are possible and only taking off the rind. We like the rind and the flavor it imparts.
  3. Spread the jam on top of the brie round, then sprinkle the walnuts on top. Sprinkle the brown sugar on top of the walnuts.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, until the walnuts are browning and the brie has melted.
  5. Carefully remove the Brie from the oven and let rest for 5-10 minutes, until you are able to move it without spilling melted cheese everywhere, but it is still warm.
  6. Place on a plate or board, along with extra walnuts, crackers and bread crisps to serve! I also like to add some fresh raspberries for extra pop and color.

Notes

  • Calories will depend on the size of Brie and type of jam used.
