Watermelon Basil Salad

Sweet and refreshing, this watermelon basil salad combines juicy watermelon with fresh basil, zesty lime, red onion, and olive oil to give you a side dish or appetizer that fits in at any summer celebration!

Ingredients

  • 1 lime zest and juice
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • ¼ cup basil thinly sliced, fresh
  • ¼ cup red onion thinly sliced
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 4 cups watermelon seedless, cubed

Instructions

  1. Add the zest and juice of 1 lime, olive oil, basil, red onion, and salt to a large bowl with a lid. Mix well and set aside.
  2. Add the watermelon to the large bowl and toss well.
  3. Cover with the lid and store it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes before serving.
  4. Toss well and serve.
