Watermelon Juice Recipe
Description
To prepare the Watermelon Juice, fresh watermelon is cut into quarters and blended with hulled strawberries, sugar, and a small amount of water. Adding crushed ice chills the mixture and gives it a light texture. The recipe uses about a quarter of a watermelon per batch, producing two large glasses of juice.
The combined fruits deliver a sweet, slightly tangy flavor, with watermelon’s watery freshness complemented by the deeper berry notes of strawberries. The sugar adjusts sweetness to taste, balancing the natural fruit sugars and adding brightness to the drink.
Watermelon Juice is served cold and is suitable for serving at gatherings, as a hydrating snack, or paired with light meals and summer picnics. Multiple batches can be blended as needed to accommodate larger servings.
Ingredients
- ¼ watermelon
- 4 strawberries
- ⅛ cup sugar
- ⅛ cup water
- 1 cup ice crushed
Instructions
- To start off, cut your watermelon into quarters. Spoon one quarter of the watermelon into your blender.
- Cut the tops off of 4 strawberries and add to your blender. Mix.
- Add remaining ingredients to blender (⅛ cup sugar, ⅛ cup water, and 1 cup ice). Blend well.
- This makes two very large glasses of juice. A whole watermelon will make about 8-12 servings, but you will have to add and mix these ingredients each time so it can all fit in your blender.
