Watermelon Sangria
Description
Begin by removing seeds and blending fresh watermelon chunks with a portion of vodka until very smooth. The juice is strained through a fine mesh to remove pulp into a large pitcher. Rosé wine, the remainder of the vodka, and fresh orange juice are added. Sliced orange and lime pieces provide fresh citrus notes and visually garnish the sangria.
The mixture chills for a minimum of 4 hours allowing the flavors of fresh watermelon, citrus, and alcohol to meld. When served over ice, this sangria offers a cool, lightly sweetened, and fruity beverage with mild alcohol presence, perfect for warm weather entertaining.
Garnishing with watermelon slices or fresh mint adds to presentation but is optional. This sangria emphasizes fresh ingredients and avoids additional sugar, keeping the flavor bright and natural.
