Ingredients

Servings
  • 1 watermelon small, seedless
  • lime juice of 1
  • 1 handful ice (more or less depending on texture desired)

Instructions

  1. Cut the rind off the watermelon and cut into 1 inch cubes. Place in a large bowl and freeze for at least 4-5 hours and up to overnight.
  2. Place all of the ingredients in a blender and using a tamper* to push down the watermelon chunks until fully combined and almost creamy.
  3. Serve in bowls or cups with a spoon.

Notes

  • Blender Tamper*: If you don't have a high speed blender that comes with a tamper you can start and stop your blender and use a spatula to press the mixture down towards the blades.

  • Play with Variations: Feel free to get creative with your slushie. Add a handful of mint leaves for a refreshing twist, or throw in a splash of coconut water for added electrolytes.
  • Balance the Lime: The lemon juice adds zing to the slushie, but adjust the quantity based on your personal taste preferences. Some like it tangier, while others prefer a milder touch.
  • Serve Immediately: Slushies are at their best when freshly made. Serve immediately to enjoy the perfect texture and flavor.
